At our practice, we understand that mental health treatment for your family can be costly. While we are not independently paneled with any health insurance, we are dedicated to providing affordable care for individual therapy. To accomplish this, we work with Headway as an independent contractor to provide in-network care via Headway only for individual therapy, on a case-by-case basis. Factors depend on schedule availability, the needs of our patients, and the needs of our business. For out-of-network benefits, Mentaya will handle everything with insurance to make sure you get your money back.

We do not accept Medicaid and Medicare
We are considered "out of network" with other insurance companies. Suppose you are interested in utilizing your insurance. In that case, we recommend contacting your insurance company to determine your out-of-network mental health benefits. Some insurance companies do not reimburse out-of-network benefits, but others reimburse 100% of out-of-network charges. We will provide you with a SUPERBILL, a detailed receipt to submit for potential reimbursement of your costs. Please note, that this is only applicable to psychotherapy. When contacting your insurance provider, you may want to ask the following questions:
What are my mental health benefits? Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits? Do I have teletherapy benefits?
Do I need a preauthorization or a referral for psychotherapy sessions?
How many mental health sessions does my health insurance cover each year?
Do I have to meet a deductible, and if so, what is this amount?
What is the reimbursement amount per therapy session for an out-of-network provider?
Our practice includes a diverse team of independent contractors, each bringing unique expertise to cater to your specific needs. It's important to note that these providers are considered out-of-network with insurance. That's okay! Our practice is not independently paneled with any health insurance. Did you know that insurance companies require specific diagnoses to authorize treatment? They also have access to your therapeutic records. Bypass getting a label that will follow you and avoid sharing your private records with your health insurance. This keeps your treatment incredibly private and confidential. We always clearly state our fees and provide an estimate of cost prior to initiating services. Please feel free to ask us for as much detail and/or explanation as you would like in this regard. You will not be responsible for any costs and work that you do not allow per a signed consent form. You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical care will cost. Insurance & Coverage
We accept a range of insurance plans and will bill your insurance provider on your behalf whenever possible.
Depending on your plan, you may be responsible for:
Copayments
Deductibles
Coinsurance
Services not covered by insurance
We recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to better understand your coverage and financial responsibility. (Ultimately, clients are responsible for understanding their benefits and costs.)
If your insurance is not in-network, we can provide documentation for out-of-network reimbursement.
Self-Pay Options
If you are not using insurance, we offer transparent self-pay rates. Please contact our office to receive the most up-to-date information.
Credit Card on File Policy
To streamline the payment process, we require a credit card on file for most clients.
Your card may be used for:
Copays at time of service
Deductibles or coinsurance after insurance processing
Self-pay services
Late cancellation or missed appointment fees
All payment information is stored securely and handled in compliance with industry standards.
Cancellation & No-Show Policy
We ask that you provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Late cancellations or missed appointments may result in a fee up to the amount of the entire session. This allows us to respect our clinicians’ time and offer appointments to other clients in need.
Financial Hardship Support

Understanding Your Bill
After your appointment:
If you are utilizing insurance, then we do not bill you directly. Headway submits your claim to your insurance provider;
Your insurance processes the claim and sends an Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
Any remaining balance is billed to you by them.
If you are self-pay, then we bill you directly. Good faith estimates are provided.
If there is a remaining balance, you will receive a statement with instructions for payment.
